If you are unable to find a proposer, we will do our best to find you one from our existing members.
It is essential that all applications must contain all the information of your 25 year career in the industry, and indicate whether for Cinema or Television Exhibition, and where possible the start and finish dates of the projects you were involved. If any of the requested information is not supplied your application may be delayed.
These can include:
For permanent employment please give details of the company(s) and your job title(s) with dates
For freelance work please list productions worked, dates, whether for cinema or TV release and your production role
If you meet the additional criteria below, you could be eligible for a cinema pass. The majority of British cinema exhibitors and UK film distributors have agreed that, in recognition and appreciation of the contribution made by those BCTV members, who have worked exclusively or primarily in the theatrical sector for an absolute minimum of TWO YEARS, the BCTV can issue a pass for the benefit of such members which will admit them and a guest free of charge to certain film performances.
The cinema pass may only be awarded to those members who have worked in any capacity in a British cinema, in theatrical distribution or behind the camera production of a sufficient number of fictional, documentary or advertising films (whether digital or film) that have received a theatrical release in British cinemas.
Any periods of time applicants have been involved in teaching, mentoring or lecturing on film related subjects at Registered Film Schools and University Film Degree Courses, could be taken into account when assessing eligibility for membership.
